Description:
Precipitation this week amounted to 0.21", boosting June's total to 0.70", 58% of normal. Year-To-Date remains at 89%. ETo was 0.39". Earlier this month the Center for Western Weather and Water Extremes (CW3E), at Scripps, released a report titled "Odds of Reaching 100% of Normal Water Year Precipitation," using data from 1948-2017 as the gauge. For Northwest California, unfortunately, the odds predicted are 0%. But elsewhere in the states the odds increase, and they breakdown those odds into 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. Very interesting report. (CW3E is the group doing all the Atmospheric River science and predictions each year.). No change this week in the California Drought Map. Average high was 65.6f, low 51.7f, and Ruth Lake Reservoir remains at 97%. Local rivers continue to drop and warm up. Fourth of July festivities this weekend and most campgrounds full. Another doe showed up with 2 fawns, and they were so young they were having a hard time standing and walking, wobbling a lot.
