Moisture near normal, but low temps appear to be causing stress. Many plants are flowering/fruiting as if it's late August rather than June. Rudbeckia is now flowering (more or less on time) along with some early flowers on the echinacea and buds on the bergamot. Oenothera are not flowering yet but the Japanese beetles have discovered them with a vengeance. Milkweed (regular and butterfly) continues to flower. Blue mud dauber nests have hatched. Fireflies are out along with monarchs, black and tiger swallowtails, and Baltimore checkerspots.
