The week started off hot with highs in the upper 80's and low 90's with a little monsoon moisture midweek. The high of the week was 92° on Tuesday. Moisture started moving in on Monday and lasted until Friday. Thunderstorms nearby on Wednesday and Thursday but only a trace of rain on Wednesday which was the total for the week. Lows ranged from 47° last Sunday to 63° on a couple of days. It was breezy at times during the week but nothing too strong until Friday when the winds started increasing with high fire danger. This continued on Saturday with Red Flag Warnings issued. The surrounding wildland and open areas are very dry. There seem to be less birds visiting the garden but there are still some but see hummingbirds frequently. Saw the bullfrog at the pond. Also saw a lizard. Probably a western fence lizard or spiny lizard.
