Another week of mostly marine layer clouds and foggy nights, but the north wind returned for the past two days. The landscape is staying moist due to the foggy drizzle, but the ground is drying out, so back to watering twice a week. The wind made ocean conditions rough and the players at the local pickle ball resort are complaining about the impact of the wind on their games. Enjoying watching a good population of young birds in the gardens. Lots of Song Sparrows and Hairy Woodpeckers, but no young Quail as yet. A mother bear and cub were spotting in our housing area this week. The coastal campgrounds and RV parks are starting to fill up with tourists and with the 4th on a Saturday, the local quirky Mendocino Parade promises to be packed.
