Early part of the week brought a much-needed 1.87”, which brought June MTD to 2.39” – 66 percent of PRISM average. With a hundredth this morning and nothing significant forecast for the rest of the week, we’ll end this quarter of the Water Year with a total of 7.98” against PRISM average of 11.56” – 69%. That said, we’re still at 99.9% of average for the Water Year. Will return to mildly dry for the nonce, on the strength of the week’s nice soaker. Brown areas in lawns are much improved and some native flora showing signs of stress have bounced back nicely. Pond level is normal, as is wildlife activity. One cygnet out of the original nine remains – it’s still a juicy target for predators but as it grows it will become less tempting.
