Station Name: Athens 0.4 ENE
Report Date: 6/27/2026
Submitted: 6/27/2026 8:17 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
Alfalfa and pastures are growing well with this weeks rain. My garden which has been mulched seems pretty wet. Standing water remains along lower area of sheep pen and overflow creek and pond are gently flowing. Our sump pump ran half a day after Sunday 6/21 heavier rain. I saw a toadlet in our yard. A number of different kinds of mushrooms are popping up in yard and on tree stumps. They are amazing. I killed three Asian beetles on the grape vine. I hope that will be all. Mosquitoes are bad as are flies. We have chipmunks. Milkweeds are in bloom in the front tree line. Wild blackberries are still red.
