High temps and no rain this week has dried the area somewhat. The ground is still soft and plants are growing everywhere. Wildlife is abundant and can be seen throughout the county. Combined with the soil moisture level, the heat has resulted in high humidity much above the roughly 20 percent we're used to in the summer. The USGS reports the Llano River at Hwy 87 is still flowing well at 139 cfs vs the 53-year median of 116 cfs. There is no drought condition anywhere in the county and the DSCI still stands at 0. There is no burn ban in effect.
