This past week was cooler, avg high +21C. It was also on the wet side. We had mist, showers, steady rain, and heavy rain. Tues was rain all day and Yellow Rainfall Warning for late evening to 0100. Full total 35mm. Next morning ground was squishy. Much Pollen on hard surfaces. Streams, ponds all have good levels. The Hammond's Plains Marsh now looks like a proper marsh. Bird life has returned. Deer have a banquet of green grass. Baby fawns now seen with the Does. Hummingbirds are active. I finally bought a Nectar Dispenser, just have to hang it. Raccoons are venturing in at night--have to bungey chord the compost bin again. Raccoons are brilliant animals. On the people side, tourism is in full swing. Many RV's from numerous states and provinces. Motorcycles and quads big on weekends. NS Power continues its upgrades. And, Canada Day is next Wed. Time is going way too fast. Our NS burn Ban map is all Green.
