Description:
0.95” of rain last week - two events, several days apart, nothing severe from either. 1.0” of Evapotranspiration. Temps were seasonal - morning lows in the 70s, afternoon highs in the 80s and 90s. Many days with 100+ heat index, one day with Heat Advisory and at least one day with Air Quality Alert. No supplemental watering needed for gardens or containers - everything blooming and content. Seems like we are getting just enough rain to keep the ground soil damp with no cracks yet. Crepe Myrtle trees started blooming. Wildlife remains busy - Happy National Pollinator Week (this week)! Plant native to support our pollinators please! Native plants also require less water! DFW area remains busy despite the heat with FIFA World Cup visitors and activities. Story for the week - typical conditions.
