Plants & Wildlife: Salmon berries huge, juicy, & plentiful. I have harvested 3 lbs of strawberries from the garden in the last 3 days. The raspberries are tasty, but sparse. Poppies, California lilac, honeysuckle and wild & garden roses are all blooming. Eagles, corvids, and songbirds are active in the neighborhood. A very rare North Pacific Right Whale was spotted & photographed off of Bere Point this week: a wonderful reason to make the national news.
