Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
The first week of June was mostly dry, but since June 5 we have only had one period of 2 days in a row that didn't have rain, otherwise we have had rain every other day. In July we have had 4.54 inches and the year to date is 19.91 inches of rain only. Between March 1 and now we are more than 4 inches above the 30 year average. There has been some standing water in some fields for most of the last week continuously. We have toadstools coming up in places in our yard. There has been 2 days in the last week where we received more than 0.95 inch in one day. There have been occaisonal nights of mostly clear skies this spring, but not many. And this spring continues to bring windy days, with some days having very windy conditions more than usual. The field crops have been springing up out of the ground pretty quickly after planting and I am not sure if all the fields got planted, since the first week of June was the driest period and it may not have been long enough for some farmers to finish planting. The birds have been plentiful and pretty active in my yard, with a species or two that I haven't identified showing up. The small animals have been active.
