Weekly precip = 3.38. Since Thursday, damp, humid and rainy conditions have been the norm. A tenth on Thursday of mist was followed by a quarter inch on Friday. Then Saturday morning the sky unleashed buckets of rain. Automated gauges in the area recorded from 3 inches to over 9.6 inches at one location in just 24 hours from Friday evening into Saturday afternoon. Needless to say, this was too much too fast and many of our acres were and still are flooded though the water did drain down considerably today (Sunday June 21, 2026). Given the overabundance of rainfall as of late I changed the scale by two categories. We may lose a few acres of beans to flood water before this all drains away.
