To prevent freshwater mussel contamination, Ruth Lake is inspecting all arriving boats, and those that have water in ballast tanks or in the boat get a 30-day lockout seal.  If the boat returns before the 30 day period and the seal, between the boat and trailer, is broken or missing, it will have to go through another 30 day period with an attached seal.  The rivers continue to drop and warm up.  Baby animals showing up, with Steller Jays, Dark-eyed Juncos and California Quail all feeding fledges in the yard, and doe finally showed up with two adorable fawns.
