We had nights of fog and light drizzle this week, which has kept the landscape moist and temperatures cool. As a result, lots of tourists in the area beating the heat inland. The farmers markets are expanding as more produce ripens and makes it to market. It's been a good breeding season for the birds -- lots of youngsters learning the ropes from their parents in our gardens, including some young woodpeckers and jays that haven't quite gotten landing on tree branches down. Waiting to see the first baby quail.
