Although recent precipitation has been only slightly below normal, the ground is still dry. My rhubarb crop dropped from 15 lbs to less than 1 from minimal winter recharge. I started watering my lawn Friday - commonly I can wait until July. And my apple crop looks like 1 (one) due to early spring (warm, dry winter) and late, but not record late, frosts. Great early summer for golf and hiking!
