Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: MA-BA-57
Station Name: Falmouth 5.7 N
Report Date: 6/21/2026
Submitted: 6/21/2026 7:13 AM
Scale Bar: Moderately Dry
Description:
Time to switch to "moderately dry." Only 0.07" in the preceding week – and that coupled with low humidity, high winds and near-solstice sun angles. MTD catch is only .52” against a PRISM average of 3.64”. Not tracking evapotranspiration at this station but would bet it’s significant. Grasses are starting to brown out in some locations, some footpaths are downright dusty, and the town put watering restrictions in place this week. Other than grasses I haven’t seen significant signs of stress in native plants – yet – and the (drip-irrigated) veggie garden is loving the warmth and sun. Wildlife activity is normal (less osprey action than there was about three weeks ago); pond level is down an inch or two. Fingers crossed Monday-Tuesday event significantly outperforms forecast.
