Rain/moisture is near normal and temps are near or slightly below. A week of almost aggressively blue skies and sunny weather has the gardens taking off. Black raspberries are thriving this year. Butterfly milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa) is full of flowers. Squash plants are flowering, as is vetch, yarrow, coreopsis, milkweed, mullein. Robins, cardinals, blue jays, and cowbirds visit the garden daily along with a pair of local rabbits who particularly enjoy the clover.
