My neighborhood is in need of a good soaking rain of at least an inch in one day.  In nearly 4 weeks we had rains of 2,3 and 4 tenths which is enough to green up lawns and newly growing farm crops growing and green. We are 2.88" below form May 1st to date.  The last good rain was over 4 days ending May 19th where we had 2.17", since then only 1.99", 2.67" below from May 1st.  It has been mostly sunny warm to hot and windy. so the minor rain dries out fast.  It has been great weather for putting up hay, outdoor construction and outdoor activities.  Ditches are low or drying up as well as small marshes and frog ponds.  The Baraboo River is still running lower.  The Wisconsin River is running higher from upstream rains. Gardens need regular watering.
