Despite occasional thunderstorms, the ground is dry for this time of year. Flora is not quite a lush as it was after more significant rainfall. Ponds and stream levels continue to drop, but most intermittent streams continue to flow. Shenandoah River has also dropped and is low for the season. No adverse effects on flora and fauna noted although frog calls and mushroom fruiting seem low. Trail conditions are great and trail use is high.
