The 7-day cumulative precipitation total of 3.07 inches was 294% above the 13-year (2009-2022) average of 0.78 inches and in the “severely wet” range; the 30-day total of 5.22 inches was 61% above the expected 13-year average of 3.42 inches and in the “moderately wet” range; and the 90-day total of 11.22 inches was 44% above the expected 13-year average of 10.25 inches and in the “moderately wet” range. The 7-day water balance was +2.07 inches (3.07 inches of rain minus 0.99 inches of evapotranspiration). There were 5 days of measurable precipitation, with a maximum of 1.40 inches on the 9th. Temps ranged from 88 F (on the 10th) to 61 F (on the 12th), with average Hi/Lo temps of 84/67 F (+5/+9 relative to last week). In one field, plastic that had been put down for a row crop (melons?) earlier in the week was seen blowing in the wind after being dislodged following the passage of strong winds the night before.
