We were largely missed by the fronts and scattered thunderstorms giving us a 13 day total of only 0.37". While the period began with pleasant highs in the 70's, it ended with a high of 90. Despite the lack of rain, our garden is growing. I have watered. The cool weather crops have bolted and need to be replaced (after I gather some seeds). Blueberries are ripening quickly requiring daily picking. The forest is shaded and green, but a few summer flowers have bloomed including a favorite orchid. Box turtles are on the move. The microhydro is still on full for now. The drinking spring remains excellent.
