Rainfalls: This week 2.40”, last week 0.02”.
Everything is dealing with the lack of precipitation. The grounds are getting harder but still moist a couple of inches below under the surface. The growth rate of all the plants in the woods has definitely slowed down compared to their growth spurt of the past few weeks. I thought the sudden influx of 2.27” of rain Wednesday and Thursday night would have taken conditions into the wet zone more than it did. Chippewa Creek is still running at 0.0” which is where it's been running all week and the ground is still firm with no ponding of water to be seen. The lawn restarted its growth spurt as did the plants in the woods. The farmer's horses have been allowed full access to the pasture which tells me there's no substantial wetness in the field.
