For week of 07-13 Jun:(0.5+ 5.2+ 0+ 0+ 0+ 0+ 0)= 5.7mm, Mildly Dry. High's: +15C to +25C Hx +31C; Low's: +13C to +5C; Wind: 2 windy days, gusts to 50km/hr, other days mostly calm; Dew: 1 light dew. This week we went from a few cool days to very warm and dry, but with high Humidex (Hx). The grass is growing rapidly. Flowers are in bloom, tree blossoms are profuse, and pollinators are appearing. I even had a beautiful spider's web on my gauge funnel protective toothpick turret. Keeps away the bird droppings, but sure attracts the bugs (ants, tiny beetles, gnats). Its finally warm enough to get to work on filling our Veg Trugs. A delay is better than none at all. Veg gardening is becoming a necessity in light of grocery costs. Beyond our back yard, tourism is in full swing. Peggy's Cove Rd full of RV's. Sailing season launching. Looks to be a busy summer. We just need regular rains to maintain our well levels. NS Burn Ban was 98% Yellow yesterday. Red for Shelbourne, South Shore.
