This week, we received a larger amount of precipitation due to the storms that came through. Before that, it was fairly dry and had not read for some time. There are some dry spots in our yard, but additional watering was not needed. It was particularly hot and humid on Friday, which made it difficult to go to a nearby festival. However, the grounds seemed quite saturated at the festival that was held on grass. Nearby wetlands appear to have plenty of foliage. Today we saw a snapping turtle walking through our yard, presumably to lay some eggs.
