1.59 inches of rain fell this week on 3 days, soil is wet and standing water in low areas of neighboring fields after the rain of 0.91 inches reported on 6/6/26, so marked bar as Mildly Wet. I have not had to water planters and gardens since the rain, and the plants seemed to have grown inches in the past 3 days. However, the drought conditions at the beginning of the week prompted a Drought Monitor rating of Moderate Drought, and an Increased Grass and Brush Fire Warning was issued for 6/4/26. Grass remains brown. Neighboring Woodstock Water Restrictions remain in effect. The YTD and WYTD precipitation is in the high end of the NOAA Near Normal rating.
