0.12" of rain this week, 4.34" in the last 30 days. This week was dry and very pleasant up to Saturday afternoon. Despite the limited rain, the ground is still moist just under the surface. Wheat and barley fields are just barely beginning to show first signs of ripening. Trees, bushes, and lawns are green and lush. Garden plants are growing well without supplemental water. Some planting is happening in bare fields of nearby farms. Getting a wide variety of birds (adults and fledglings) at the feeders. Local creeks are running at normal levels and wetlands still have standing water. Mosquitos aren't a problem yet, but they're surely coming.
