Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: MS-CH-3
Station Name: Clarksdale 2.9 SW
Report Date: 6/7/2026
Submitted: 6/07/2026 6:14 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
No rain for the past week. Lowest temp was 63 highest was 93. Hot and humid last Sunday and Monday. Cooler and drier air for Tuesday through Friday. It has begun to get humid again starting Saturday. Ground conditions are decent right now moisture wise, but the crops are getting bigger and so is their demand for water. Without any rain today, we will start irrigating corn on Monday. Some area farmers are already irrigating corn and soybeans on lighter sandy clay loam soils. We have a situation in a few fields where there are yellow soybeans in field bottoms from staying too moist for 2 weeks and soybeans that are ready for a drink at the top of the same fields. Rain would do a world of good right now though for keeping the crop thriving.
