For week of 31 May to 06 June: (0+ 0.5+ T+ 5.2+ 0+ 0+ 0)= 5.2+ T. Near Normal. High's: +9C to +24C; Low's: +9C to +3C; Wind: Mostly calm, some breeze V to 15km/hr. It was a cool week, but with more sun. Two mornings with heavy dew. On Tues, we had a rare thunder/lightning storm. Rare because we tend to not have them. We get the wind and the rain. This storm was brief, lasted about 20 mins. Sky got very dark. After the lightning and thunder booms and rain, the sky cleared to a brilliant sunset. We also had tons of Pollen, Dandelion Fluffs, and seed Wingers covering vehicles and outdoor furniture. You need a hose to clean up. A few deer came through. Saw my first Northern Flicker, with the red crest on the back of his head. Handsome bird. The grass is growing very fast. Barely keep up with the mowing. Trees and shrubs are doing well. They like the coolness with the sun. Blossoms everywhere. Veg gardening has been delayed due to coolness. My trugs are still sitting empty. Out on Peggy's Cove Rd, the tourism buses are on the move. And, school Grad season is here. Very busy. To close, due to lesser rain this week, the NS burn Ban map shows all of NS Yellow.
