While we had 8 consecutive days of measurable rainfall mid to late May, May remained with a 1.44" deficit, April 1.2" deficit, with YTD down 5.39" or only 73 percent of normal. Despite the rain in May, we have been dry for the last 11 days with no rain in sight. Grass growth was underwhelming and only one cutting was needed. Birds and small critters are more active at the feeders and immediately find freshly filled bird baths for drinks.
