Description:
The May rains have helped fill soil profile.  The very minimal runoff indicates that we will need timely rains this summer to stave off drought conditions.  Grass is less than normal height and thinner than normal.  Temporary basins and ditch ponds are dry.  Most row crops are planted.  haying will begin in earnest now.  I have seen more quail this spring than most years.  That's a good sign...
