Very wet conditions as of late. For the month of June, we received 5.35", which is just above the typical average for June. The bigger picture is that April produced 7.7" and along with May, have given us 3.97" above normal for the last two months. At least in this part of East-Central KS, we are no longer in the "drought that was" in the last part of 2025. The Summer outlook may be different, but leading into it ground soil water is great! Winter crops and hay ground is excellent in the area. The April/May bird migration is over with species moving further north or staying here for the breeding season. Wildlife is really benefitting from the wet Spring.
