For week of 24-30 May: (0+ 0+ 23.5+ 0+ 0.5+ 0.2+ 0)=24.2mm. Near Normal. High's: +9C to +23C; Low's: +12C to +1C; Wind: Calm to V, gusts to 35km/hr. We had 2 days of warm, sunny weather, +20C and +23C. Then the clouds moved in for overcast for 5 days and counting. Its been cool to chilly. Mon was a wet day with mist, heavy drizzle and light rain all day. The next day, the Dandelions all went to fluff. And, there has been exponential pollen. The garden hose has been busy--you can't sweep it, it just keeps coming. Not even looking at the veg trugs until it warms up. Grass is growing rapidly. Trees are leafing out. No wildlife spotted this week. We are in the Green for NS Burn Ban Map (only S 1/4, South Shore is Yellow). Even under grey skies, the Tourism buses have resumed. NS Power has announced on-going Overhead work on Peggy's Cove Rd, Tantallon to East Dover, for all of 2026, possibly into 2027. Prepare for traffic delays. All we need now is a bit of sunshine.
