Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: OH-FR-195
Station Name: Reynoldsburg 0.7 SW
Report Date: 5/30/2026
Submitted: 5/30/2026 4:47 PM
Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
We have had multiple days of heavy rains off and on. Many times there was almost immediate ponding in low areas of yard and sidewalk and at heavier points there was fast running water along sidewalks and sides of road. On driving around I noted many streams were very full (though not out of banks or onto road, where I was, at least).
Usually after heavy rains my yard gets ponding, but it usually infiltrates back into the ground rather quickly. With all the rain we've had (total of 3.69" at my station, including last Sat), it has taken longer each time for the water to infiltrate. At the moment the ground is fairly dry, except in lower areas and esp areas where the sun has not reached, such as under roof overhangs; there the ground is still muddy, though no standing water is present.
In areas where the sun has reached, the previous mud is drying and cracking.
The plants and grass in yard are thriving and I haven't had to water my garden containers all week.
