Rainfall for the week was 0.31” and rainfall for last week was 1.44”.
There was full sun, low humidity levels and no rain throughout most of the week. This combination allowed a lot of surface water to evaporate from the ground. The week started in the moderately wet range but rapidly progressed to near normal by the latter part of the week. As the grounds dried up, the farmer's horses were allowed access to the entire pasture. Chippewa Creek however is still running at a moderately high level indicating the groundwater is still relatively saturated and is still draining off into the creek. I was able to get the lawn under control by mowing multiple times this week. It was also dry enough to get the vegetable garden planted which is pretty much the normal time of the year for me to get the plants in.
