Station Name: Duncan 11.2 E

Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
I live on a farm and ranch with several ponds. Our smaller ponds are close to full. We had a couple of heavy rains in April that filled them and got enough rain and cool weather in May to maintain them. Our larger ponds are not full, which is unfortunate for this time of year. Everything should be full as we head into the hotter months. The grass is green but it is beginning to show signs of stress in areas where the soil isn’t as good. Generally, this is our greenest time of year, so that is a little concerning to see it beginning to fade before the start of June. It should be green and healthy, even in the higher spots that will dry up in the summer months. The soil is pretty dry a few inches below the surface. I recently had to put in a post, and the ground got very hard to dig after the first eight to 10 inches. We had some rains in the first half of May. But we missed some in the later part of the month and have had less than an inch in the last 20 days.
