Last week's rains were a boon to field crops and lawns.  though we didn't receive much at one time and total under an inch it still felt refreshing.  Lots of orioles at the feeder, with only a few hummers.  Not sure why so few Hummingbirds as use to be lots. Notice rooster pheasants along the roadways early mornings along with hens sometimes.  Also the individual deer, making one wonder where they all went after last winter's large herds were seen each evening.  The gnats are out in full force when warm and calm or not!
