Soil is very dry, even after the tiny bit of rain we've gotten this last week it is bone dry under the surface.  Hills are still fairly green but getting brown quickly.  ponds are low, trees are already showing signs of stress.  Don't want to use the severely dry category but honestly I've never seen it this dry in the spring.
