Mildly wet – 0.11 inches of rain. Patiently awaiting results of the coming week. Sunday was hottest day to date this year and next 3 days likely to be the same.
Birds and small animals active. Black walnuts and black tupelo leafing. Most oaks burnt by frost and have not bounced back yet. Oak treetops leafing on higher elevation. (see pictures oaks and hedgerow) Mulberry, and sumac delayed leafing. Noticed Daffodil stems much larger than usual and my Peonies are producing massive sized flower shoots. Lawn mowed every 4-5th day. Mill Road Pond running high. Vegetable farmer active.
NYC Reservoirs near normal at 99.6% of capacity compared to normal of 100.0%. Consumption is normal at 0.96 billion gallons for the week.
