Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: OH-SM-57
Station Name: Copley 2.4 SE
Report Date: 5/17/2026
Submitted: 5/17/2026 9:16 AM
Scale Bar: Mildly Wet
Description:
Rainfall throughout most of the week allowed the ground to dry out somewhat, taking us from moderately wet to mildly wet. Several individual days were considered near normal, but the rains towards the end of the week wiped out those drying gains. Chippewa Creek ended the week with water levels above the gauge log and flows running moderately fast. The mosquitoes are getting thick and, although I haven't used it yet, it'll be soon that I’ll need bug spray to be outside. The woods are almost completely leafed out, and the ground plants are very thick and healthy. I spotted the first golden finches of the season this week. The hawks and the turkey vultures have been very active also.
