Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: SC-RC-88
Station Name: Irmo 3.2 NE
Report Date: 5/17/2026
Submitted: 5/17/2026 8:02 AM
Scale Bar: Severely Dry
Description:
No rain to report and the drought map has all of our state in either a severe, moderate or extreme drought. I’m keeping the bird baths full and the garden watered so the garden is doing well. Blueberry bushes are yielding lots of berries and the peppers are doing well too. The tomatoes are also coming along. I will probably fertilize them all today. Some of the ponds are down over a foot now and probably more with the heat that’s projected to come this week. I’m getting out early morning or late afternoon to do garden chores now. What a dry spell!! I hope this breaks soon but you never know what Mother Nature has in store for you so we just have to do the best we can. Well, all for now. Stay safe and hydrate when you go out….long sleeves and hats with sun block is the rule of the day for me. Get out as you can and be sure to mind the weather.
