For week of 10-16 May: (1.0+ 12.5+ 15.6+ 3.0+ 1.0+ 4.0+ 0)= 37.1mm, Mildly Wet. High's: +8C to +17C; Low's: +10C to +2C; Wind: Calm to V gusts to 44km/hr during rain. A mildly wet week with rain, showers and/or drizzle almost every day.
Waterways are all flowing. The grass is now growing rapidly. You can almost watch it grow! Daffodils and tulips are in full bloom. Trees are in full bud. Smaller bushes are in bloom. It feels and looks like Spring. Our front yard is awash in a sea of yellow Dandelions. The yellow is vibrant. Peepers are now making a regular racket. Gosh they're loud!! We made a couple of elevated veg troughs called Trugs. They are meant to deter any four-legged critters, and birds, but allow sun, rain and pollinators. This is a total first for us. Should save my back and be fun in the sun and the soil.
Planting lettuces, carrots and herbs for my first go. Got to start small and work up. Heading into May long weekend. Traffic, grocery stores, and gas stations very busy. Price of gas still very high. Staying home and gardening.
