We live on a farm.  Garden and lawn have slow growth and have been watered several times.  The ground is very hard but no big cracks yet.  Leaves on bushes and trees are not lush and as green  as this time of year. Old fashioned roses are blooming but flowers show damage from cold temperatures early on. Barn swallows are about 3 weeks late arriving this year.  But rabbits are abundant after a few years of  having very few. And we are once again seeing a few coveys of quail. Corn and beans are growing but need rain. native pastures and brome  show shorter grass growth and  some have experienced grub and army worm damage from last year.
