We continue moderately dry verging back into severely dry.  We have received less than an inch of rain in May.  NC has lifted the "no burn" ban for now but the ground is still very dry.  A forest fire is reported west of this location.  Towns have contingency plans for water restrictions if and as needed.  People are outside in the current pleasant Spring weather.  However a much warmer forecast with little to no rain is forecast possible in our area for the next two weeks.
