This is our driest May since 2023, with just a little over .3" of rain to date. Soil is starting to dry out, especially under trees which are mostly completely leafed out. Storms have been in the area but mostly have missed us. Grass is still green, but some plants are starting to droop and bulbs are not lasting as long as they were earlier. Birds still coming to feeders but I will stop filling them soon. they will have to forage. We need a good soaking rain.
