Only .38" of precip month to date, but mostly cool.  Still lots of standing water in the woods.  No leafout but some swelling buds.  Aspen catkins and red maples full flower.  Ticks coming on strong.  Outdoor construction and other work of all types very active.  Lots of road work, traffic.
Corn stubble flailed and some fields tilled and in condition to plant.  Gardens tilled.  Onions, lettuce, radishes, turnips planted in my garden.  Rhubarb still small.  No sign of asparagus shoots.
Warblers here, grosebeaks and thrushes. Bird festival this weekend.  Migration not yet at peak.
