As our rainfall totals to date suggest we are still under extreme drought, the soil tells the story. It's extremely dry. The temps are now warming into the 80's which worsens the conditions. Birds are teaching their fledglings how to find food & fly. Foxes in the neighborhood look healthy. Wildflowers are in abundance. Creeks & lakes are very low. Hummingbirds are dining on nectar from my flowers. A few butterflies are in my yard, a monarch & zebra swallowtail.
