Only two days with Traces of rain this week, 0.07 inches since 5/1/26 which is 5% of NOAA 30-year norm, and only 0.53 inches since 4/19/26. YTD precipitation is 138% of normal , and WYTD is 118% of normal. Soil hard and difficult to pull weeds with roots breaking off at soil level, so they live to require future weeding. Grass is bright green, and lilacs are blooming about 2 weeks ahead of usual bloom time. Some areas of neighboring fields are still flooded from the mid April deluges. High of about 60 degrees and sunny with calmer winds will set up a perfect Mother’s Day.
