A total of .33 inches of rain fell and even a clap of thunder at one point. Highs cooled into the 50's on the rainy day and slowly warmed afterwards and got up into the low 80's to end the week. This was the total precipitation for the week. The high of the week was 83° on Saturday. Lows dropped to 32° after the storm on Wednesday and Thursday. Winds became lighter after the storm with just some afternoon breezes. No change in plant life in the open wildland areas. In the garden, things are beginning to look lush with lots of plant growth. The rhododendron is starting to bloom and roses are blooming behind the pond. The Bullock's Oriole has returned again this May and many other birds continue to frequent the garden. A finch is nesting under the eaves of the house.
