May has started off much drier than the month before.  Could use a good shot of rain.  Running just over an inch less than NOAA Norm for the month, but YTD is still at surplus and WYTD is at Norm. Forecast for the week looks mostly dry so not sure if any precipitation will happen or not. Farmers have been busy getting the crops in and kicking up a little dust as they do so.  Grass has slowed down growth but is still green.  I have provided supplemental watering to the garden for what little I have planted since there still were chances for frost last week.  Hummingbirds are active at the feeders.  All area rivers are back in their banks.
