0.70”  rain this week.  Ground is dry, ponds low, creeks a trickle.  Trees and hay looking OK.  Neighbor's corn is coming up, 2-3”.   Other fields coming up, corn maybe sorghum – too early to tell. Black kingsnake again in the front yard.  Yellow-billed Cuckoos back in town, first Summer Tanagers too.  Kingbirds love using the tomato cages around our young oaks and hickories as perches.  Just the right height for dive bomber missions.  Quail feeding in the front yard.
